How do I find my size?

For our dresses/ tops we recommend starting with your bra band size, as our dresses fit best when they are fitted in the waist/ bust.

So for me, I am a 16-18 BUT I am a 14DD with a small waist. Therefore, while the L fits me fine, the M fits better as a 14 in Bra band.

So, generally, match your bra band below

    XXS- 8
    XS-10
    S-12
    M-14
    L-16
    XL-18
    2XL-20
    3XL-22
    4XL-24
    5XL-24+
Within each product description, we state whether the item is true to size or generous and whether you should choose your normal size or a different one. Consistency is important to me, however we have changed our sizing recently so we have a couple of different fits. If the product is updated sizing, this is our new sizing moving forward.
Reasons why you might size up/ down?
As we recommend shopping your bra size, you might consider sizing up if you have a very large bust (larger than a F) but our clothing accommodates a large bust well. Otherwise, our straighter style dresses ( mainly midi/ flair or longer scooped hem) if you hold weight in the hips/stomach. Our swing, pull and frill styles you will not need to size up for room in the hips or for pregnancy.
You might consider sizing down if you have a small frame/ bust and don't need room in the stomach for pregnancy, especially in our more a line skirts.

Are your dresses true  to size?

Yes, true to size or on the generous size. As stated in the video, if you shop your bra band size then your dresses will be fitted though the waist and floaty through the body.

Which style will suit me best?

Our pull dress is the most flared and best for pregnancy. It hangs great PP too but can be too full if you are petite through the hips or prefer a more streamline fit. Our swing dress is straighter but still a-line and bump friendly. It skims the hips beautifully due to the bias cut. Our frill style is quite full and great for pregnancy and PP, it doesn't have the ties on the hem, just a small frill detail. Our flair is the straightest style and is not recommended for pregnancy, but being bias cut I have seen it on quite a few bumps. Our scooped hem designs will fit a bump too, they are slightly straighter but still flexible.

Should I size up in the flair dress?

Maybe. It is a straighter style dress so if you are extra curvy of very bottom heavy then you might need to size up.

Are all your dresses bump friendly?

Nearly yes. The flair will fit through some of your pregnancy but isn't actually recommended as maternity. But our swing and pull dresses are perfect for full term bumps, postpartum and breastfeeding.

What is the difference between the tops?

We offer 2 lengths in the tops, a shorter style that is better for PP and a longer style that will allow for a bump. The shorter top will still fit a bump, but the bigger your bump the shorter the top will be. Our tunic style top is a longer, straighter fit with ties on the hips for adjustable length.

At the top of all our product descriptions we clarify which style the dress/ top is and whether it is suitable for pregnancy or postpartum. For the most part our dresses are true to size, I just wanted to give you a complete run down of styles and fit as we don't provide measurements. If you really want measurements, send me an email at admin@bohemamaclothing.com and I will be happy to get those to you.
